The idea of promoting this academy originated in an informal dialogue among like-minded academics and scholars many years before. The purpose has never been to just add one more civil service examinations coaching centre in the row but to recheck if certain things can be done differently. S N Chakraborty, coming with huge experience combining action research, teaching, writing, participation in academic discourse and various other professional engagements is set to manage its daily activities as the key faculty cum mentor.

Vision
When Indian bureaucracy is moving from rule based to role based service, selection process of the civil service aspirants will be different. Being academically bright is an advantage, but becoming suitable for the job is the primary need. Our motto is transforming Civil Service Aspirants from preparedness to readiness. Many are indeed fit to become a civil servant. This is achievable when there is proper teaching, mentoring and guidance. We believe in walking with the candidates as long as they are in the preparation process for Civil Services examinations.
Our Mission
The Academy prepares aspirants by enhancing their confidence as well as competence. We work to build capability of the aspirants for

iii) high-speed writing, and
iv) presenting well structured answers
